The Undergraduate Student Assistant supports the UA Sales Program in the Culverhouse College of Business Marketing Department. Works with the Director of Collaborative Learning and the Director of Corporate Engagement. Creates and organizes academic course material. Manages student attendance and course material during classes. Virtually role-plays presentation scenarios for UA Sales Program students. Organizes corporate visits while creating and strengthening current corporate relationships for sponsors of the UA Sales Program.
Graduate Night Assistant/Access Services Student Assistant - University Libraries - 526922
The Access Services Library Night Assistant assists with closing duties during the hours of 10:00pm - 2:00am Sunday - Thursday, 3pm - 7pm Friday, and 2pm - 6pm Saturday for a total of 20 hours a week between Bruno, Gorgas, and Rodgers Libraries. Secures the library buildings at closing. Confirms that all student assistants are on duty. Assists with patrons at all library service desks and is the point person for any emergency situations with UAPD or UA facilities personnel in the absence of the Night Operations Manager. The Student Night Assistant rotates nights between Bruno, Gorgas and Rodgers Libraries to assist with closing. Assists patrons with finding library materials and checks in/out materials. Processes returned materials, answers phones, and troubleshoots copier/printers. Shelves, sorts carts, and assists with ILL processes as time permits. Acts as point person for UAPD and UA facilities personnel if problems arise in the building. Conducts walk throughs of the building and reports any issues or problems. Ensures the building is secure at closing and all patrons have vacated the building. Determines if all lights are turned off. Contacts appropriate personnel to address emergency issues as necessary. Ensures compliance with library policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
