Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some weekends & extended hours
Job Summary: The Sales Associate II performs various retail support activities under moderate supervision. Receives, unpacks, restocks, prices, shelves, stages, and sells merchandise. Operates cash register to complete sales. Provides customer service to patrons. May train and provide work leadership to entry level Sales Associates.
Additional Department Summary: This position assists with the Supply Store's day to day operation. Unpacks, prices when needed, and stocks merchandise. Pulls and packs merchandise to be returned to vendors or transferred to other Supply Store locations as determined by sales and management evaluation. Supervises the sales floor for the area assigned. Uses the computerized management system for processing customers through the point-of-sale system. Assists customers with questions. Maintains inventory. Processes customer orders. Maintains the store's appearance and stock level.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years or customer service or retail experience; OR associate's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive customer service experience and skills in a retail environment that parallels the functions of this position.
