Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; occasional evenings and weekends as required

Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator I oversees marketing, promotion, and publicity functions for a department, college, or division under general supervision. Creates and implements marketing strategies using advertising, media, direct mail, etc. Coordinates production of materials specified in marketing plans and calendars. Consults with product and/or program development.


Additional Department Summary: Implements strategies and tactics for the marketing of programs in the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (OTIDE). Places digital and print ads. Assists with the production of print materials. Researches competition for programs in OTIDE. Assists the Social Media Specialist in creating, updating, and maintaining social media accounts. Processes content edits to the website. Coordinates marketing for various programs. Organizes production of video testimonials. Assists with the planning and execution of eblasts. Assists with email campaigns through the customer relationship management system (CRM).


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and some marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Good organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects at once.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and social media marketing. Certifications through Google Ads, Google Analytics and Microsoft Advertising.
