Job Summary: The Geography Researcher II supports ongoing research projects in the field of geography, working closely with a team of researchers and project leads. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing spatial data, assisting with fieldwork and data collection activities, and contributing to the preparation of research reports and presentations.


Additional Department Summary: The PI is leading or co-leading several large research grants through the NOAA Cooperative Institute for Research to Operation in Hydrology (CIROH). This position contributes to these projects by developing and maintaining critical tools and resources in the lab.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of research experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of research experience.


Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, and Engineering, or equivalent, with emphasis on Flood Modeling and Geospatial Analysis. At least 2 years of experience in related research.
