Job Summary: The ASSIST Research Program Manager provides project management services that support strategic importance. Serves as a liaison between faculty and campus.
Additional Department Summary: The ASSIST Research Program Manager must be well versed in federal uniform requirements (2 CFR 200), state and sponsor rules and regulations, and University policies with experience independently interpreting funding opportunity requirements and providing optimal customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience at an institution of higher education; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience at an institution of higher education.
Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate and interact with senior leadership, Principal Investigators, administrators, and other key stakeholders with a customer service perspective. Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing regulatory environment. Proficiency with electronic research administration systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and take initiative, team-player, organization and project management skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze complex circumstances and develop meaningful solutions to specific problems in collaboration with colleagues. Proven record of collegial communication and cooperative initiatives among colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications: CRA, CPRA, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Leadership and team management experience, budget development and university sponsored research processes.
