Nursing - Saxon Endowed Chair in Rural Nursing – 9 Month Associate/Full Professor Tenure/Tenure Track - 525870
The Saxon Endowed Chair in Rural Nursing is a 9-month position for a highly accomplished scholar who has a record of collaborating with faculty and students to plan, design, conduct, evaluate and disseminate rural-focused nursing research and scholarship activities. The Saxon Chair is expected to obtain external funding, support our emphasis on rural nursing, teach in the CCN’s graduate programs and serve as a mentor to both faculty and students. The person in this position is considered an informal leader in the College who supports the College’s mission, vision and goals. The College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS) at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa welcomes applications and nominations for the position of Chair of the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine (FIRM). This is a unique opportunity for an innovative, energetic, and collaborative family medicine, internal medicine, or internal medicine-pediatrics physician to play a leadership role in one of the fastest growing colleges of the flagship University. FIRM accounts for more than half of the Foundation’s revenue and includes 43 Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physician faculty and a core interdisciplinary faculty of 50 others in the specialties of OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Psychology, Sports Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Social Work, Education, Library Science, Clinical Pharmacy, Nursing, Nutrition, and Population Health. Renewable Contract Clinical Instructor in Applied Statistics - 525679
Teach undergraduate and graduate (Master’s level) courses, committee service and program leadership. Position will be responsible for teaching four (4) courses per semester, including large lecture sections of introductory statistics. Sufficient knowledge of statistical software, such as Python, R, and SAS, is required for teaching purposes. Experience with database management, Tableau and/or Power BI would also be beneficial.

The Research Engineer uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization to perform varied scientific research requiring application and adaptation of established techniques, procedures, and criteria. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria to accomplish a variety of research assignments. Performs various research projects to include conducting experiments, writing research proposals, writing technical papers and research reports.
