Center Coordinator - Intercultural Diversity Center - 521342
The Center Coordinator will assist in the functioning and operations of the Intercultural Diversity Center (IDC). Serves as the Center’s Welcome Desk receptionist during the evening and weekends. Reports directly to the Graduate Student Assistant and Student Lead of the Intercultural Diversity Center. Serves as the Center’s Welcome Desk receptionist during the evenings and weekends. Works the front desk. Forwards and distributes communications. Files. Takes inventory. Organizes. Maintains a working knowledge of current and upcoming divisional events, programs, and active reservations. Answers incoming telephone calls. Answers questions regarding the Center, its purpose, and its tours. Prepares campus correspondence mailings, emails, and errands. Establishes and maintains strong customer service and Center morale with all guests regarding events, reservations, etc. Maintains records. Assists incoming and outgoing guests of the IDC. Additional duties as assigned. The Intercultural Diversity Center provides leadership for the University to build on its core principles of inclusiveness in learning environments, programs, workforce, and strategic partnerships. The IDC welcomes over 5,000 students, faculty, staff, and external guests/visitors in the Center a semester through co-curricular programs and activities, exhibits, pop-up shops, collaborative events, webinars, cooking demonstrations, lunch and learns and more with a primary focus on cultural exploration, educational engagement, and social enrichment.  To create an inclusive environment which fosters the advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion, Center Coordinators will assist in all functions of the office to help educate all individuals of the student body, faculty, and staff members that are aligned with the University’s diversity and strategic initiatives.

Technology Student Assistant - Spring 2024 - Arts & Sciences - 521541
The Technology Student Assistant will support the computer labs and other technology initiatives for the College of Arts and Sciences. Assists with computer lab maintenance tasks. Installs and configures software. Diagnoses and repairs hardware. Erases machines. Picks-up and delivers technology across campus. Assists with the Academic Continuity Initiative, which provides eligible Arts and Sciences Faculty and Staff with an iPad. Sets-up and supports these devices via email, phone, video conferencing, and in-person appointments. This position is a semester to semester position, depending on students work performance position may be extended into the next semester if both parts agree. This position provides applicants with the opportunity to learn remote management tools such as PDQ Deploy, PDQ Inventory, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), JAMF, Apple School Manager, and Global Service Exchange (GSX) for managing Windows and Apple devices.

Inventory & Logistics Student Assistant - Spring 2024 - eTech - 521543
The Inventory & Logistics Student Assistant will take inventory and pick-up/deliver technology equipment for the College of Arts & Sciences. Enters data for new technology equipment. Updates the A&S inventory system. Performs physical audits on pieces of technology equipment. Creates equipment lists for surplus and buyback by using Excel or Google Sheets. Creates tasks for pickups and deliveries. Sorts pieces of equipment. Organizes and maintains equipment storage space. Performs vehicle inspections before using the vehicle. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Graduate Student Assistant - Al's Pals Site Supervisor - 521419
The Al's Pals Site Supervisor will supervise UA mentors and UA student leaders at a Tuscaloosa City or County elementary school site while assisting the Al's Pals Coordinator with leadership development for students participating in the Al's Pals program. Works closely with the Al's Pals Coordinator of and the student team leaders in the daily running of the program at the elementary school sites that Al's Pals serves. Works 2 days a week Monday - Thursday 2:30pm to 5:30pm at a site. Ensures that attendance and incident reports are taken correctly. Monitors classes at the location. Serves as a liaison for Al's Pals with the community partner or school representative on site. Attends and leads pre-semester training and training on site with the team leader. Serves as communicator for the program to the site mentors and representatives at the school. Works with the Al's Pals Coordinator to develop curriculum around leadership development and character development for all students involved in the program.
