Job Summary: The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the Ph.D. or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee.


Additional Department Summary: Works on the calibration of the IceCube Upgrade, focusing on software and data structures related to timing and geometry calibration using in-situ light sources and sensors. The initial position is until April 30, 2026, but may be extended based on funding availability.


Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in data acquisition and analysis software and familiarity with database structures, preferably in the context of large high energy particle physics or astrophysics experiments.
