Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Systems Administrator II supports the functionality and availability of mission critical University and non-critical systems by performing intermediate level systems engineering and administration under moderate supervision. Provides system and application administration responsibilities for multiple systems to provide desktop deployment to the campus or department.


Additional Department Summary: Works to manage information technology needs and resources within Public Safety for the UA community. Innovates in diagnosing issues and suggesting new ideas or modifications to existing systems. Ensures that numerous business systems within UA Public Safety are supported and maintained.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of system administration experience; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of system administration; OR High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of system administration.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
