Normal Work Schedule: Varies. Some events are on weekends and evenings.

Job Summary: The Research Assistant I assists with research work tasks of low-complexity in support of a research project under close supervision. May assist with ordering equipment and supplies, set up of equipment, performing experiments, monitoring results, data collection, preparation of support materials, etc.


Additional Department Summary: Conducts and assists with the design of research experiments. Manages IRB applications, participant recruitment and scheduling, data acquisition and analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Renewal is contingent upon availability of funding.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to work weekends and evenings.

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Computer proficiency.


Preferred Qualifications: Some research experience. Experience working with human subjects.
