Job Summary: The Bama Bound Intern assists with Bama Bound meal plans, answering questions and promoting plans to students and their families.

Additional Department Summary: Responds to inquiries from incoming students and their families about available meal plan options, pricing, and benefits, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided. Assists students and families in understanding the various meal plan packages, explaining features such as dining location access, meal swipes, and flex dollars. Encourages new students to sign up for meal plans during Bama Bound events, providing guidance on the best options based on individual needs and preferences. Helps students and parents with meal plan selection, modifications, and changes, ensuring they understand the process and deadlines for making adjustments. Offers information on Bama Dining services, including dining hall locations, hours of operation, and special dining options, to help new students feel prepared for campus life. Assists in the setup, coordination, and execution of Bama Bound events, ensuring meal plan information and resources are available to attendees. Builds positive relationships with students and their families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere during Bama Bound events. Gathers feedback from students and families on their meal plan preferences and questions, reporting insights to the Bama Dining team to improve future services.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Current University of Alabama student. Reliable transportation. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to work both independently and as a team. Proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Event planning or hospitality experience.
