Department/Organization: This position reports to an off-campus employer.


Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 5:30pm; up to 20 hours per week

Job Summary: The Afternoon Teacher assists with the supervision and well-being of children birth to five years of age in a developmentally appropriate facility. Communicates effectively with children, co-teachers, and families/parents. Ensures the safety and healthy well-being of young children. Engages with children in play, talk, and action. Cleans the work areas. Changes diapers and assists in restrooms when needed.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Experience in group childcare. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to take initiative. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 5:30pm.


Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge and understanding of of children birth to five years of age.


Preferred Qualifications: Studying child development, child life, or education. Experience as a nanny, group care teacher, or babysitter.
