Job Summary: The Program Support Assistant works under the supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director for Academics and the Deputy Director of Student Services. Supports one of the following units within Athletic Student Services: Advising, Tutorial Support, Learning Support, or Student-Athlete enhancement.


Additional Department Summary: May monitor and support study hall, track class attendance, support tutoring, learning services, or student-athlete enhancement through career and leadership development. Additional duties include special projects assigned requiring data collection and reporting.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Current outstanding University of Alabama student.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention level for detail. Computer software applications skills to develop written reports. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.


Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
