Normal Work Schedule: Flexible; Monday - Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm, up to 20 hours per week

Job Summary: The Student Assistant provides support for basic instruction in multiple digital media applications at the Sanford Media Center. Works with patrons, answers instructional questions, and schedules reservations through email, phone, and person-to-person interactions.
Additional Department Summary: The duration of this appointment is the Spring 2025 Semester, with the option of continued appointment based on job performance.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Current University of Alabama undergraduate student. Experience working with at least TWO of the following: Final Cut Pro X, iMovie, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Logic, GarageBand or web design. Willingness to learn and teach others different multimedia software. Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of UA application standards.
Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
