Job Summary: The Undergraduate Student Graphic Designer supports a wide range of projects, including social media, digital campaigns, and print materials.


Additional Department Summary: Designs engaging graphics for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn). Creates print materials such as flyers, signage, event programs, and promotional items. Develops digital assets for email campaigns, web banners, and presentations. Ensures all designs align with UA brand standards and project goals. Assists with content planning and visual strategy for social media posts. Prepares files for both print production and digital use. Collaborates with staff to brainstorm creative concepts and meet deadlines.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Current University of Alabama student with a portfolio demonstrating relevant design work. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Experience designing for both print and digital platforms, including social media. Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.


Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
