The Orientation and Special Events Coordinator plans, implements, manages, and administers comprehensive high school on campus recruitment events which include Sibling Orientation Program, University Days, and other special events that relate to high school groups. Supports coordination of Bama Bound, UA's new student orientation. Assists with the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students. Assists with managing budgets.
Building Associate - 525374
The Building Associate coordinates building operations and services. Monitors all buildings and facilities. Communicates facilities issues that may affect work or safety to occupants. Serves as initial contact for incoming shipments and deliveries.
Medical Billing Coder - 525525
The Medical Billing Coder provides timely and accurate processing of billing for multi-specialty physician office visits, I/P and surgical hospital visits, and procedural coding in an academic environment.
Blackburn Fellows Coordinator - 525529
The Blackburn Fellow Coordinator leads all efforts related to The Fellows Network that promotes active participation in Blackburn Institute events and serves to advance the mission of the Blackburn Institute, serving as an active mechanism to connect Fellows to each other, Blackburn students, and the Advisory Board. Works with Fellows in throughout Alabama with dedicated volunteers organizing activities in each of the 5 major cities (Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa) and other cities where there is a concentration of Fellows (Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; New York, NY; etc.) to organize, promote, and host events and regularly attends these events as a representative of the Blackburn Institute and The University of Alabama. Establishes and strengthens alumni relationships with through direct contact and management of Blackburn Connect, an online networking and mentoring platform.
Space Management Analyst - 525530
The Space Management Analyst conducts space utilization analysis and creates reports. Develops plans to maximize facility use. Makes space allocation recommendations to administration.
Sales Associate I - 525531
The Sales Associate I performs various retail support activities under close supervision. Receives, unpacks, restocks, prices, shelves, stages, and sells merchandise. Operates cash register to complete sales. Provides customer service to patrons.
Communications Specialist III - 525533
The Communications Specialist III writes and edits communications for a college, division, and/or the University under minimal supervision. Develops and implements plans, activities, and tactics to support the goals of assigned areas. Coordinates the production of materials and resources through a variety of platforms, including digital and physical mediums. Participates in planning and execution of special projects to support the assigned area's overall development and marketing strategies.
Research Project Coordinator - Sea Grant - Mobile and Baldwin counties - 525535
The Research Project Coordinator supports the overall development of research project (s). Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project and serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. May supervise students, provide general office assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential projects.
Student Account Services Associate - 525537
The Student Account Services Associate provides financial counseling to students and parents. Serves as the primary liaison to campus and one of the primary contact points for the provision of consumer information. Represents Student Account Services at orientation and information events by speaking, answering specific questions one-on-one with prospective students and parents, and training orientation personnel.

The Education Outreach Coordinator develops, manages, and implements quality educational programs for students, families, and adult audiences.
Accountant III - 525540
The Accountant III prepares, reconciles, and audits budgets under minimal supervision. Prepares financial reports, invoices, schedules, and/or statements. Completes journal entries. Reviews, analyzes, and approves expenditures. Determines fund balances. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, University policies, and procedures. Provides guidance, trains, and/or may supervise entry-level accountants.
Postdoctoral Fellow - 525541
The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee.
Research Technician - 525545
The Research Technician uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization to perform varied scientific research tasks of moderate complexity requiring application and adaptation of established techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Accounting Assistant II - Regular Part-time (Benefits eligible) - 525546
The Accounting Assistant II maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support. Assists University staff in understanding industry standards, current laws, and university policy as it relates to the financial affairs of the University. Provides guidance and trains entry-level Accounting Assistants.
Medical Receptionist I - UMC Resident Clinic - 525550
The Medical Receptionist I receives, screens, handles, and distributes incoming calls. Schedules and greet patients. Collects payments. Ensures that patient flow is handled in an effective and timely manner.
Physician Assistant - UMC Resident Clinic - 525551
The Physician Assistant provides clinical services to assist physicians within their specific scope of expertise. Makes diagnoses and treatments for patients using independent judgment. Assists and instructs students in clinical research.
Carpenter I - 525553
The Carpenter I assists with fabrication and repair of wooden structures, partitions, fixtures of wood, wallboard, and plywood. Installs and replaces doors, windows, and hardware. Must drive from site to site.
Carpenter II - 525554
The Carpenter II performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the fabrication and repair of wooden structures, partitions, fixtures of wood, wallboard, and plywood. Installs and replaces doors, windows, and hardware. Must drive from site to site. Provides guidance and trains entry-level Carpenters.
Carpenter III - 525555
The Carpenter III acts as a lead worker to perform highly skilled work at the journeyman level in the fabrication and repair of wooden structures, partitions, fixtures of wood, wallboard, and plywood. Installs and replaces doors, windows, and hardware. Trains and supervises other Carpenters. Provides work leadership to other trades personnel. Must drive from site to site.
Recycling Worker - 525556
The Recycling Worker deposits and collects all recyclable materials on the University of Alabama campus. Aids in the transportation of all materials to appropriate private recycling collection centers and all record keeping and reporting of recycling activities.
