As a Homewood Bagel baker you will learn to make, roll and bake bagels, croissants, cinnamon rolls and other delicious pastries from scratch. You will also assist with making Homewood Bagel's 12 different types of cream cheese. This job is perfect for someone who loves to bake, and pays attention to detail. Cashier/Kitchen Assistant/Barista - Homewood Bagel - 517546
Homewood Bagel is looking for cashiers, baristas, and kitchen assistants to join our Tuscaloosa team. As a Homewood Bagel team member you will take orders, help prepare customer orders and drinks, assist with kitchen prep and cleaning, and otherwise generally assist in helping run the bagel shop. The job opening is for a 2 year old co-teacher, Monday-Friday. Teacher hours are 7:45-1:00 pm. Our teachers teach in a co-teaching environment which means they take turns every other week having the teaching reins. This 20-hour a week GRA position will support the Institute of Museum and Library Services funded project, Raise Up Radio: Family and Youth Engagement in Library Supported Learning Via Radio (RE-250133-OLS-21). Raise up Radio addresses the educational needs of rural youth and families, ensuring distance learning and library services are more equitably accessible. The project utilizes radio as a means of program distribution because of its low barrier for direct access to content by community members. In addition, the project builds infrastructure for participating libraries serving rural communities through collaboration and mentorship with scholars from University of North Texas and University of Alabama, while also creating a model which illustrates best practices for national adoption.
