Job Summary: The Marketing Intern assists in the creation and management of content for Innovation Depot social media platforms, including graphics, posts, and stories. Supports the development and execution of email marketing campaigns. Designs digital and prints signage for events, promotions, and internal communications using tools like Canva. Contributes to the creation of presentations and other marketing materials. Manages and updates content on the Innovation Depot website. Assists with basic video editing tasks using iMovie. Collaborates with the marketing team to promote Innovation Depot’s events and the success stories of our member companies. Helps maintain and update digital signage across the Innovation Depot facility. Additional duties as assigned.


Additional Department Summary: Innovation Depot is located at 1500 1st Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35203.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Current undergraduate or graduate student. Strong interest in graphic design and digital marketing. Experience with Canva or similar design tools. Experience with social media platforms. Familiarity with basic video editing tools, particularly iMovie. Reliable transportation.


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.


Preferred Qualifications: Studying Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot). Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS. Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
