Job Summary: The Professional Elves create an inviting, fun-filled atmosphere where customers feel inspired. Interact with children and play with toys, whether that be standing or on the floor. Demo products to show off how much joy they bring. Build connections with customers and help them find the perfect gift.


Additional Department Summary: The Toy Shoppe is hiring part-time sales associates—“Professional Elves”—to join the magic of The Toy Shoppe. This isn’t your typical sales role—it’s about creating an inviting, fun-filled atmosphere where customers feel inspired. They are looking for people who:

  • Love getting on the floor to play with toys and share the fun with kids.
  • Are excited to demo products to show off how much joy they bring.
  • Enjoy helping customers find the perfect gift by building real connections.
  • Can bring energy and enthusiasm, especially during weekends and busy times.

If you love the idea of making every visit feel special and helping create magical moments, this is the role for you!


Required Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work on the weekends. Passion for engaging with people and creating a fun, welcoming environment. Enthusiasm for play and interacting with children and families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable and punctual. Comfortable demonstrating products and assisting with customer needs. Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.


Preferred Qualifications: Retail or customer service experience. Experience working with children, such as babysitting, teaching, or volunteering. Knowledge of toys, games, or children’s products. Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
