The Summer on Campus (SOC) Peer Coach supports UA Early College with the successful transition of high school students to a college level of study and to promote independent living on a college campus. Encourages dedication and the successful completion of each course. Helps with summer move-in for SOC students during Summer I & Summer II terms. Monitors nightly study hall sessions. Completes health & safety checks in residence halls. Participates in campus events with SOC students. Communicates with Early College staff for appropriate concerns and issues.
Lifeguard - SPRING 2026 - UREC Aquatic Center - 528455
The UREC Lifeguards ensure the safety of patrons by surveilling pool activities and enforcing all University Recreation policies, rules, and regulations during Spring 2026.
Digitization and Digital Outreach Student Assistant - University Libraries - 528437
The Research Assistant for University of Alabama Libraries Special Collections supports an NHPRC-funded archival grant project by digitizing the Records of Alabama's Coal and Iron Labor History. UA Libraries is making approximately 40,730 pages of free archival collections that document the history of Alabama's coal and iron industry from the Civil War through the early 20th century. In partnership with a digitization vendor, the project will collect original descriptive metadata for selected materials, digitally reformat to archival standards, create derivative files for web delivery, and repurpose metadata to enhance collection finding aid description.
Student Special Needs Teacher Assistant - RISE Center - 528442
The Student Special Needs Teacher Assistant assists teachers in providing instruction to children individually and in small/large groups. Supervises children. Performs hygiene routines. Assists with cleaning the classroom. Understands the curriculum and implications for children with special needs.
Student Assistant - OTIDE ITAS - 528356
The Student Assistant supports OTIDE Instructional Technology and Academic Services, Instructional Design. Provides direct technical assistance for online courses to faculty and students through a helpdesk system. Provides support primarily for the Blackboard Ultra learning management system. Answers phones and responds to tickets. Escalates issues to staff members & appropriate supervisors.
Desk Assistant - Spring 2026 - Housing and Residential Communities - 528386
The Desk Assistant (DA) works scheduled desk hours previously negotiated with the Desk Manager. Provides customer service to residents in a residential community, parents, faculty, staff, administration, and UA community members. Acts as a resource for residents and others who enter buildings. Additional duties as assigned by supervising personnel.
